The following sharks can be found in Hawaiian waters: Whitetip Reef Shark, Blacktip Reef Shark, Tiger Shark, Scalloped Hammerhead Shark, Smooth Hammerhead Shark, Blacktip Shark, Gray Reef Shark, Sandbar Shark, Galapagos Shark, and the Bignose Shark. The chances of being attacked by a shark in Hawaiian waters is very slim. 7.4 million tourists visited Hawaii in 2007 and just eight shark attacks were reported.
