What can you do with the fish you may catch? In Hawaii, it's customary to leave your catch with the boat to help offset costs of broken and lost tackle. However, some crews will filet enough fish for you to take and have a nice fish dinner. You can't ship the fish home. There are strict airline guidelines for shipping fresh and frozen fish. Hawaii state law prohibits you from selling your sport fishing catch. You may be able to arrange to have your fish mounted. If you have concerns about what will happen to your catch, discuss them with the captain prior to your fishing trip!
