Sport fishing or deep sea fishing is perhaps the most popular and well-known activity on the Big Island. Access to some of the world's largest game fish is gained through the deep ocean drop-off, lying off the Kona Coast.

The west side of the Big Island, also called the Kohala coast, is home to world class resorts and the majority of the Island's golf courses. The Kohala coast also offers beautiful beaches perfect for snorkeling, swimming and other ocean activities. Kailua-Kona is a picturesque, coastal town with fantastic shopping and dining.

The east side of the Big Island abounds with the natural beauty of lush rain forests, waterfalls, and active volcanoes. Here also you will find the historic town of Hilo, Parker Ranch, Rainbow Falls, and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to name a few.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is one of the most popular visitor attractions on the Big Island. The park features two of the world's most active volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa, and offers information on the birth of the Hawaiian Islands and views of dramatic volcanic landscapes. Navigate the park by car in just a few hours or spend several days exploring. Some of the activities offered in the park are biking, camping, driving, hiking, and lava viewing. Please visit the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park Website for more information.
